Technology is suppose to make your life easier but often times it doesn't.

For example I use some software on a web site called Wordpress. Wordpress is much like blogger in the sense that both let you "publish" your blog post to the internet without a lot of trouble - or that's the idea.

I just made a short post on weight loss which took me all of five minutes to write. However because Wordpress can't do a simple task (inserting line breaks, like after a paragraph) my "five minute blog post" has turned into a thirty minute trouble shooting session.

No mater what code I use , what settings I change or anything else I absolutely can not make Wordpress insert blank lines after the paragraph.

This of course is ridiculous. How am I suppose to write decent blog post when Wordpress is trying to run everything together like one big paragraph.

Not only that but this undermines the purpose of Wordpress : to make my life easier.

But it's not just Wordpress it's everything.

As a web designer and someone who does business on the internet I can't turn a corner without a five minute project turning into a thirty minute project.

In my humble opinion the problem is money. People try to rush a product out the door so they can make more money and you end up with silly issues like this.

To make this post I had to sign into blogger/blogspot. For the first five times it told me my email address was "invalid". But whiz-bang a few minutes later everything is "ok".

Thank you technology.

Firefox was suppose to auto-spell check this document, but it didn't.

So I pasted it into an online spell checker, but that didn't work because it couldn't figure out that "inconvience" was suppose to be "inconvenience".

Then I pasted the document in MS Word which also couldn't unwrap the "inconvience" mystery.

Only Google knew that "inconvience" was suppose to be "inconvenience"

Thank you technology, five more minutes gone basking in the glory of my new found "convenience" (and another few minutes deleting the duplicate post Blogged blessed me with).
